Twitch has been the most appreciated games streaming service available on the market lately. It now has over 35 million unique visitors a month and more than 1.5 million broadcasters. Now YouTube wants to get in on the streaming action by announcing that it will launch a new service dedicated to gamers in the US and UK this summer.
YouTube has announced its own YouTube Gaming app and website, where people can visit to watch, broadcast streams and even search for what they want to find out in games. Google’s video streaming service plans to use its existing YouTube features, such as 60FPS streaming and DVR, along with new features like allowing steamers to share all their streams with one link.
“YouTube Gaming is built to be all about your favorite games and gamers, with more videos than anywhere else. From “Asteroids” to “Zelda,” more than 25,000 games will each have their own page, a single place for all the best videos and live streams about that title. You’ll also find channels from a wide array of game publishers and YouTube creators.” YouTube wrote on their blog.
YouTube Gaming is said to launch this summer in the US and UK and YouTube plans on promoting its new service at E3 next week too. If you’ll be at the event, be sure to check out what YouTube has planned for its Gaming service! If not, head on over to YouTube’s E3 streaming page to find out more.
