Many of the films include extra’s on their product page with free behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, parodies, clips and remixes from YouTube’s unique community of content creators, for the cost of the rental you get up to 30 days to watch it but once you start playing your chosen film you then have 48 hours to finish it.
The UK launch marks the third country to get the service after a launch in may in the US and last month in Canada, once you’ve rented a film, you can watch it from your YouTube account on any computer, your film will also play on Google TV, Android tablets with Honeycomb and most Android phones.
The service has partnered with studios such as Universal, Lionsgate, Entertainment One along with independent British film makers such as Metrodome and Revolver Entertainment.
