Acoustic Performance
During idle scenarios, the system is exceptionally quiet and it’s difficult to detect any changes in fan RPM values. Honestly, I’d describe the Zoostorm EVOLV as silent which is somewhat surprising given the stock cooling solution. Even when the system is stressed, the noise levels remain well under 40 decibels and show no signs of increasing despite having to contend with a strenuous stress test.
Power Consumption
The Zoostorm EVOLVE consumes very little power thanks to the lack of a dedicated graphics card and highly-efficient dual-core processor.
Thermal Performance
Intel’s stock heatsink is more than capable of coping with the CPU’s modest TDP and records a 42C maximum load reading. On another note, the average temperature during stress testing is 40C while the idle thermals hovered around 23-25C. Typically, the stock heatsink has a poor reputation among enthusiasts, but the data clearly show that it can attain stellar results when paired with the correct hardware.
