NVIDIA has released faster memory variants of the GTX 1080 and GTX 1060, providing higher bandwidth with the regular GTX 1080 originally at 320GB/s which has now been bumped to 352GB/s in the refreshed model (256-bit x 10GHz divided by 8bit/byte) while the GTX 1060 started out as a 192GB/s video card originally but now it has been bumped up to to 216GB/s with the refreshed GTX 1060 9Gbps model (192-bit x 9GHz divided by 8-bit/byte). For these new faster memory refreshes, ZOTAC is re-introducing faster memory variants of their AMP graphics card with the GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme as well as the GTX 1060 AMP! Plus Edition.
The GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme Plus (part number: ZT-P10800I-10P) is a triple slot, triple fan “Ice Storm” air-cooled solution powered with a pair of 8-pin connectors. It runs out of the box at 1771 MHz base clock that boosts up to 1911 MHz, which is one of the highest factory overclocks on any air cooled video card GTX 1080 in the market. It is equipped with three DisplayPort 1.4, one HDMI 2.0 and one DVI-D port in the rear. It measures 325mm x 148mm and has RGB LED features along the side of the shroud.
The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1060 9Gbps AMP! Plus Edition video card (part number: ZT-P10600G-10M) on the other hand is a dual-slot, dual-fan solution that draws power from a single 8-pin connector and runs out of the box with a 1607 MHz core clock that boosts up to 1835 MHz. It has no backplate but it is compact for a dual-fan solution, measuring only 210mm x 128mm. The pair of large 90mm fans run quietly and can shut themselves down when the load is low enough for an even quieter operation.
