How Much Does It Cost?
Unfortunately, at the time of writing the retail links for these cards were not available. However, you can check for up to date stock and pricing information on Amazon UK here. However, we do know the Zotac RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC has an MSRP of just £508, so expect prices at or close to that.
Overview
The Zotac RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC may be more of an entry-level model, but it’s clear that it still has some serious hardware at its core. It’s still got the same chipset as the big boys, but just doesn’t quite have the same boost or cooling performance. However, despite that, it was still going head to head in most of our gaming benchmarks. Overall, it was a few FPS off the more performance-focused RTX 3070s.
Power
This card only uses two PSU connectors, while the other two cards we’ve reviewed this week use three. The card also has the smallest cooler, and as a result, it’s a little louder, warmer but also uses a little less power too. With all that in mind, it’s still impressive the performance is so close to other 3070’s.
RTX 2080 Ti Vs RTX 3070
Well, that’s the most amazing thing, as this card trades blows with the RTX 2080 Ti. In some benchmarks it’s within a single FPS. Scoring similar results at all resolutions in Shadow of the Tomb Raider for example. In some benchmarks, it whips the 2080 Ti, such as 3DMark, and Wolfenstein Youngblood RTX. However, for the most part, it’s just a few FPS behind the 2080 Ti. That’s damn impressive for a card that currently costs about half as much at its respective launch.
Should I Buy One?
There’s finally an “entry level” card for 4K, a true mid-range hero is here. Using high settings, you can expect 50-70 FPS at 4K in the latest games. Ultra fast refresh rates at 1440p, and you can say yes to RTX On without saying hello to poor performance. This is just an entry levle RTX 3070, and it’s still kicking last gen cards to the curb.
