Without a doubt, this is a very unique looking card. It’s good some interesting angles going on, and that’s pretty much what we would expect from a Zotac card. Actually, it’s a little toned down from some of their usual models, but then again, this is an MSRP level card so maybe not as elaborate as their flagship models.
The card uses their improved IceStorm 2.0 cooling system. It’s a big card and a big cooler, featuring three large 11-blade fans for optimal cooling performance. Of course, the card uses FREEZE Fan Stop, for zero RPM and zero dBa performance in low load. However, it can also adjust all the fan speed independently, only cooling the part of the card that really need it.
From the side, you can see the card is packing in a very dense heatsink, allowing for great heat dissipation.
You get some RGB along the side of the card too, as well as the usual configuration for power connectors. Remember, only founders cards use that new 24-pin connector at the moment.
The backplate looks fantastic, adding a bit of style and strength to the card. However, they’ve dotted it with a funky airflow design to keep the card cool too. Plus, you get that lovely Zotac logo and it’s RGB backlighting too.
The rear of the card features three DisplayPort connectors, as well as a single HDMI. What I do like is that the metal hardware is blacked out, rather than left silver, it just looks really cool.
