Peter Donnell / 10 months ago
These results are meant to show comparative performance between non-Founders Edition cards rather than comparison against all other graphics cards on our charts. For the full suite of RTX 4070 testing results, please refer to our launch review here. It’s more to make sure that the performance on the card being tested falls within the margins we expect from the chipset given they’re the same chipset, but feature different power delivery, cooling, and other features.

Straight away, the Zotac card is holding up well, hitting 104 FPS 1% lows and a strong average of 177 FPS, largely the same as the other MSRP 4070 SUPER cards, and around 20 FPS ahead of the non-Super.
It’s the same at 1440, still ahead of the older card it replaces, but largely on par with the other Super cards with 127 FPS average.
Finally, at 4K the performance upgrade from the non-Super is pretty big, going from 57 FPS average to 78 FPS, which is a big ask at this resolution.

Zotac has built a great card here, and while its performance is broadly similar to the other Super cards launched today, it’s still great to see it pulling a fair bit ahead of the non-Super.
Moving up to 1440p, the Zotac delivered a very consistent 82 FPS average, and a solid 1% low of 60 FPS, which should make for a great gaming experience.
Even at 4K, the card performs very strongly, with more than 10 FPS over the non-Super, or around 30-40% faster than the older card overall at this resolution.
