The Zotac GTX 660Ti Extreme is by far Zotac’s fastest GTX 660Ti based graphics card. Unfortunately for anyone outside of China it is unlikely you’ll ever be able to get your hands on one. That said, we can’t help but marvel at the overclocking capabilities of this card – it is quite simply a beast.
Since the GTX 660Ti is also based on a GK104 graphics processor, the Zotac GTX 660Ti Extreme shares an identical PCB to the Zotac GTX 680 Extreme and GTX 670 Extreme. This PCB provides a 13 phase VRM, tantalum and FRCAP capacitors along with CHiL PWM CHL8318 for voltage regulation. It has one 8-pin and one 6-pin PCI Express power connector.
A stock GTX 660Ti features 1500MHz memory clock, 915MHz base clock and 980MHz boost clock. Out of the box the Zotac GTX 660Ti Extreme features 1111MHz base clock, 1202MHz boost clock and 1652MHz memory clock.
Dual 92mm Fans and five 9mm heat pipes with aluminium heat fins make up the cooling.
When overclocking the Zotac GTX 660Ti Extreme, clock speeds were taken to 1320 MHz base, 1411MHz boost and 1900MHz on the memory (7.6GHz effective). When overclocked it managed P9176 in 3D Mark 11 – roughly the same as a stock Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 – very impressive stuff indeed. If only they brought this card to Europe and North America…
