Temperatures
Measuring temperatures is all about being consitent, therefore we keep a steady eye on monitoring the ambient room temperature to make sure that it stays the same. While this is constantly being monitored, we measure the idle temperature of the processor using HWMonitor over a 15 minute period. Once this has been recorded, we set Prime95 into motion for 15 minutes and record the results again. We repeat the same on any comparison products we may be testing with it.
Due to the sensors on the board, the main temperatures that were shown related to the core temperatures. At idle they were extremely low compared to where we thought that would be with the type of cooler we used, especially with Core #0 at 23 degrees C. At load we only saw a slight spike above 50 when we captured our results at 51, but this fluctuated down to around 48 degrees C.
