Gaming Performance
With such impressive results in benchmark testing, we now see how it does in terms of gaming. In this, we test 4 games on the system using 1080p 1440p and 2160p. This is more colloquially known as HD, 2.5k, and 4k. While the Zotac MEK1 Gaming PC does not specifically advertise itself as being a 4K system the specification should be able to give it a damn good try.
In terms of 1080p gaming, this system is an absolute beast. It even somehow managed to topple the Fierce PC Witchdoctor with an average of 106.2 FPS. A system which has held that top spot for quite some time now. In terms of overall performance though it seems that the system is at it’s best both visually and in performance in 1440p. For this, the system managed a comfortable average of 70-75fps and in terms of gaming that is about perfect.
In terms of 4K gaming, over the testing, we found that a rough average of 40-45FPS can be found. This, in 4K terms, is really decent. For a smooth experience, you ideally want an average a bit higher than that. Therefore, in terms of 4K gaming, this system might not quite hit the mark. At least, not as well as you might like. In truth though, there are few that really give a true 4K gaming experience. Particularly one with the visual effects to back it up.
