Zotac MEK1 Gaming PC System Review

Temperatures and Acoustics

Temperatures

Given that this is a compact system and that it performed so well in testing and gaming you might be wondering if there is a tradeoff somewhere. The short answer is no. Despite this being a small system the temperatures were actually exceptionally impressive. This is in no small part due to the excellent air/cooling design which has been integrated into the case. The GPU temperatures do get a little towards the high-side under testing, but they’re still well within acceptable levels.

Despite all of this though, I was still expecting figures much higher than this. The Zotac MEK1 Gaming PC design, however, deals with it all comfortably.

Acoustics

Ok, so it runs well and temperatures are very respectable, but what about noise levels? Well, if you are looking for the Achilles heel in this system, noise isn’t it either. While it was a little louder than some of the systems we have reviewed, it does find itself in a perfectly reasonable mid-table. When you consider just how powerful and compact this system is, the noise levels are again another major feather in this systems cap.
