There are two things known to leak very badly, a bucket with a hole in it, and graphics cards. Thankfully, I’m only here to discuss the latter. According to a post on VideoCardz, it looks like ZOTAC will be bringing out a few new cards for the upcoming RTX 4070 Super launch later this month! There’s a new Trinity Black and a new Twin Edge series of cards, all based on the latest RTX 4070 Super chipset and this has been confirmed thanks to these lovely leaked renders.
The larger RTX 4070 Super Trinity Black will use a triple fan design, and while it looks similar to the non-super edition of the card, it looks like there are some small tweaks to the overall shape and size of the heatsink, but that’s hardly surprising. It looks like the 12VHPWR connector is still in place too, so no change there.
However, make no mistake, the SUPER really is a big upgrade, with this card going from 5888 CUDA cores to 7168 cores, and going from 200W to 220W, it should be a pretty potent graphics card.
As for the Twin Edge, there will be a stock and an OC version, and they’re ditching the 8-pin connector in favour of the newer 12VHPWR design here too, and we expect to see this shift from most brands throughout the Super series launch too, likely in an effort to streamline manufacturing.
The cards will be officially announced along with their full specifications and pricing on January 8th, with the release date later this month.
