Zotac International, the computer hardware manufacturer and leading innovator, today unveiled its latest product featuring silent operation with high quality graphics; the GeForce GTS 450 ZONE Edition.
While the GTS 450 remains the same at heart, with its 600 MHz clock, 192 unified shaders clocked at 1200 MHz and it’s 1GB DDR3 memory clocked at 1333 MHz over a 128-bit interface, it still features its entire DirectX 11 capability, but now it’s entirely cooled silently.
Using the Zotac-exclusive dual-slot fan-less cooling system featuring copper heat-pipes and aluminium fins, the GPU will remain cooled without producing the slightest noise.
“ZOTAC listens to the demands of silent computing users and their needs for more graphics power, which is why we created the GeForce GTS 450 ZONE Edition,” said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International. “With the ZOTAC GeForce GTS 450 ZONE Edition we struck the perfect balance of 3D performance and energy-efficiency to eliminate the cooling fan, as well as the external power connector.”
In addition to being silent, the GTS 450 ZONE Edition is the perfect graphics card for HTPCs thanks to it’s 1080p ready mini-HDMI output capable of delivering Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio codecs when used with the correct equipment and software. Moreover, the hardware accelerated high-definition video decoding enables it to playback cinematic Blu-ray 3D movies with trouble.
Additional connectivity features include one DVI-I and one DisplayPort while a DVI-to-VGA adapter is also included.
