Zotac Unveils GTX 1070 Ti Overclocking Options
Ashley Allen / 7 years ago
As we reported a few days ago, Zotac is launching an overclocked GTX 1070 Ti graphics card. In fact, Zotac looks set to launch two AMP! overclocked cards next month. However, NVIDIA is locking factory overclocking features from its AIB partners, so how is this possible? Well, Zotac now reveals all: the cards are complemented by downloadable FireStorm overclocking profiles. We revealed a similar method for overclocking an MSI sample 1070 Ti using Afterburner.
What is FireStorm?
FireStorm is Zotac’s graphics card tuning software. Through FireStorm, users can change clock speeds, fan settings, and voltage. Or, as Zotac describes it:
“Redesigned from the ground up, extract every ounce of performance from your ZOTAC graphics card with FireStorm. Tweaking and tuning is quick and easy with an optimized user interface that presents users with clock speed adjustments fan control, GPU monitoring functions, and much more.”
Zotac’s GTX 1070 Ti Overclocking Options
Since Zotac’s 1070 Ti overclocking aspirations are being hamstrung by NVIDIA, the company is using FireStorm to compensate. Instead of factory overclocking, Zotac is offering users “factory tested” FireStorm overclocking profiles. In fact, three Zotac 1070 Ti profiles exist:
- 1070 Ti AMP! EXTREME
- 1070 Ti AMP! Edition
- Other ZOTAC 1070 Ti graphics cards (such as the Zotac GTX 1070 Ti Mini)
VideoCardz even features an example of Zotac 1070 Ti overclocking using FireStorm:
