Zowie FK1 Gaming Mouse Review

Performance
Sensor performance on the FK1 is easily the best I’ve ever seen, I normally go into detail on how the sensor performed in each test, but I see no point here. There was no jitter on any of the four DPI settings, accuracy was incredible throughout, there was no acceleration, no angle snapping and simply no negative performance at all! The lift off height was super low, the feel of the sensor was smooth as silk and that’s really all there is to it, easily one of the greatest sensors I’ve ever tested.
Gaming performance on the Zowie FK1 was amazing to say the least, but it’s not without its drawbacks. The sensor offers up some seriously high-end precision, perfect for FPS titles and something that really reaps its rewards in any FPS, the only downside is that the DPI toggle is on the bottom of the mouse, so tweaking that setting in games such as Battlefield to improve turning speed in vehicles, then dialling it down for a bit of sniper action isn’t really viable. However, fire up a game like Counter Strike and you’ll really see what this mouse is all about. I was told this was the best CS mouse around and couldn’t resist putting that to the test, they were right, this thing is freaking awesome for CS and the pixel perfect sensor plays a large part of that result.
The simple button layout is great for games that don’t require a lot of controls and CS is a nice fit for this, so are MOBA games like League of Legends, where most of the extra commands can be dealt with on the keyboard side. The mouse is also great for day to day work, its no fuss design combined with the comfortable and light weight ergonomics have been a pleasure to use over the last few days.
