Zowie Introduces EC1-B and EC2-B Gaming Mice
Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
BenQ is announcing two new Zowie gaming mice which are updated versions of the EC1-A and EC2-A. You can read the review of the EC1-A gaming mouse here from over three years ago. The two new models are called the EC1-B and EC2-B, using the same shape as the EC1-A and EC2-A versions. However, the main difference is in the use of a PMW-3360 optical sensor. The EC1-A and EC2-A use a 3310 sensor which works up to 3200 DPI. The PWM-3360 on the other hand is a popular option with most current mid-range and high-end gaming mice, able to run up to 12000 DPI.
The new “B” update changes the scroll-wheel to a solid black instead of LED lit version. The side switches are also softer to click than the previous version. The underside also introduces several changes. The report rate toggle is in place with indicator LEDs along with the DPI toggle indicator. The biggest change however, is the use of much smaller skates. There are now four small white skates on each corners, as opposed to two large ones from the “A” versions.
Pricing and Availability
The Zowie EC1-B and EC2-B are now available for 75 EUR with VAT each. There will be a special CS:GO variant coming soon as well. It features a dark blue color with a gold Counter-Terrorist logo above where the Zowie icon typically is.
