ZyXEL presents a Wireless HDMI adapter kit

ZyXEL, a Taiwan based networking company, presents us the WHD6215, a Wireless HDMI adapter kit.

Now wireless HDMI isn’t something you usually find in your average living room, as it’s quite a luxury, but that doesn’t stop the major companies to propose such product.

The WHD6215 has some very impressive features, although it’s not so complicated, just plug your HDMI devices into the transmitter and plug the receiver in the HDTV’s HDMI port. Not so hard is it?

To be more precise on its specifications, it’s said that it can also provide full 1080p playback, and even 3D with “no lag or loss in picture quality”…I’d love to see that!

It also supports 7.1 surround sound, and to allow for all this information to be transferred it includes the 60GHz millimeter wave technology, which provides the required multi-Gigabit data rates for the claimed uninterrupted and unaltered video quality. The 60Ghz spectrum also allows the transmission to be interference-free.

The WHD6215 is currently available at authorized resellers at an approximate street price of $199. It isn’t very cheap, but if you want to be cable free, that’s the price you have to pay.
