LG Introduces Nano IPS Monitors with HDR600 Support

CES 2018 is almost here and LG is set to wow those who are attending by showing off their new line of Nano IPS monitors. Nano IPS supposdly takes color reproduction to a new level, and it even supports HDR600. Nano IPS technology involves the application of nanometer-sized particles to the screen’s LED to absorb excess light wavelengths. This greatly enhances the intensity and purity of on-screen colors for a more accurate and life-like viewing experience. This LG monitor can display 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, which is the Hollywood standard.

The LG model 32UK950 will offer 4K UHD and Thunderbolt 3 support. In fact it is the first Thunderbolt 3 docking display to support 4K daisy chaining. The Thunderbolt 3 port is also very versatile so it allows notebook connections or transmit 4K content with just a single wire.

LG will also introduces the 34WK95U 34-inch UltaWide model. This one goes up to 5K which is 5120 x 2160 and it is LG’s first 21:9 5K UltraWide monitor. Such a large space is ideal for those who require a large screen real estate. Especially without resorting to a multi-monitor setup.

It is not all just work and no play, as LG also plans to unveil the 34GK950G model for gamers. This one is a QHD display, also using a Nano IPS technology panel but with NVIDIA G-Sync technology support.
