Nvidia 2060 May Have Just Appeared In Benchmarks

NVIDIA 11XX Series Launch Deliberately Delayed for August 30?

Nvidia 2060 May Have Just Appeared In Benchmarks

With us currently just settling into the Nvidia 2080 and 2070 range of graphics cards, it has begged many questions as to whether they would release a 2060 in the range. They have, of course, done this for many of the previous generations. On the whole, though, Nvidia seemed to have played down any rumours that a 2060 would happen. At least, not for the foreseeable future.

Well, in a report via PCGamesN, a graphics card has appeared on the official Final Fantasy XV benchmarking results that have led to some strong rumours that this might indeed be a Nvidia 2060.

Why Do People Think This?

Well, there is, of course, absolutely nothing confirming this at the moment. When you look at where the card sits in terms of performance though, you have to admit, that’s roughly where you’d expect to see it lie. Incidentally, if you are wondering what the 66AF:C1 is, well, that’s a case of speculation too.

What Do We Think?

Based on the 10XX range of GPUs, the 1060 proved to be one of the most popular cards. Although I stand to be corrected by more modern figures, the last I saw it was the most used gaming graphics card currently on the market.

Therefore, the chances that Nvidia would ignore this for the 20XX range always seemed doubtful. Despite their own nay-saying.

Is this was a moderately watered down version of the 2070 though, and maybe coming in at around £350, this would prove highly popular with consumers. We will, of course, have to wait and see.
