Marvel Rivals Targets Cheaters Using Mouse and Keyboard Adapters on Consoles

Marvel Rivals has officially declared war on cheaters who use mouse and keyboard adapters on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. In a statement posted on the official Marvel Rivals website, developers at NetEase Games have made it clear they are firmly against any form of cheating, particularly the use of adapters that provide an unfair advantage in competitive gameplay.
Mouse and Keyboard Adapters Targeted
The message directly references well-known brands in the competitive shooter scene, such as XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeMander, and Brook Sniper. These adapters allow players to mask mouse and keyboard inputs as if they were coming from a controller, enabling both the precision of a mouse and the aim assist intended for controllers.
NetEase has developed a highly accurate detection tool to identify players using such devices. Offenders will face severe penalties, including temporary or permanent bans and removal from leaderboards.

According to the developers, these adapters exploit the advantages of a mouse’s sensitivity combined with aim assist features, creating a significant imbalance in competitive play. The statement emphasizes that any device enabling the emulation of keyboard and mouse inputs as controller inputs will be considered a violation of fair play, even if not explicitly listed.
NetEase is committed to addressing this issue on both PC and console platforms, with the goal of preserving the integrity of the gaming experience for all players. Punishments may vary depending on the situation but can include account suspension, leaderboard exclusion, or other disciplinary actions.
