No More Paying For Broken AAA Games, Thanks To Steam’s Play Before You Pay

steam logo steam hardware survey

This year we’ve had way too many triple-A titles get released at high prices forcing us to fork out the money for something that is barely worth half the amount we paid, if only there was a system that allowed us to try a game before buying it much like the demos we used to have. Well good news as Valve has also grown tired of this problem

Play Before You Pay

The new Play Before You Pay system allows for users to play a trial of a game for 90 minutes before paying for it as a new measure to prevent gamers from getting ripped off by lazy game publishers. This new system has been shared and is currently only available on the Dead Space Remake which is also currently at a 20% discount bringing the price down to £47.99.

Currently, it is unclear how this feature will progress and if it will be implemented into other games which I imagine will also depend on the developers agreeing to the trials. Hopefully, this idea does gain more footing and accompanies every other Triple-A release that we are expecting this year to help mitigate disappointment from fans who otherwise would’ve spent their hard-earned money on terrible games.

What do you think of this system? Let us know in the comments.
