The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is almost upon us and much like previous entries in the series, the games going to have some pretty hardcore monsters in its digital world for you to hunt down, fight, then get your butt kicked by.

In a recent QA session on The Witcher 3 official forums, Senior Game Designer Damien Monnier was asked “if the biggest critter is equivalent to a) one griffin, b) two griffins, c) three griffin or d) huge as f**k.”

“We have monsters that are bigger than the griffin, so I would say between b) & c), but that definitely equals to d).” replied Monnier. “The reason you have heard different things is because it’s hard to calculate, you have a lot of landmass but oceans too, and small islands scattered around. You know, that’s one of the reasons during interviews now I just say “massive” because I have no clue. Whenever I try to calculate it I come up with “f***ing enormous”. added Monnier when talking about the scale of anything found in the game.

It’s no surprise that this game has some pretty epic monsters, especially when you compare the size of the games map to many other popular games, this game is, well it’s as f***ing enormous as Monnier implied.

We don’t have any pictures of the monster in question, but I’m sure we’ll know it when we see it!
