Relive Your 90's RTS Playing Days with Reconquest

Fans of RTS games are getting it good this week, not only because of the awesome VR mod for C&C: Red Alert 2, but now thanks to StormCube Games, who has announced that their real-time strategy game ‘Reconquest’ will be launching next month.

If you like the old-school gaming mechanics of games like Command & Conquer, then you’ll love what Reconquest has to offer. The game is set sometime after World War III, mankind is close to extinction, and it’s your job to reconquer the Earth from outlaws. The ol’ end all war with an even bigger war system, works like a charm for a gaming mechanic.

“Reconquest is a real-time strategy base building game. After World War III, mankind got close to extinction. You have to reconquer Earth from the outlaws by making better strategic decisions than your opponents.”

Three game modes will be available; campaign, skirmish and trapped:

  • In campaign mode you can choose from the two sides: the urban forces and the outlaw clan. Both sides has 10 individual story missions where comics connects the storyline between the missions.
  • In skirmish mode you can compete with 3 AIs at maximum on 8 different maps.
  • In trapped mode you can choose between 8 preset challenges.

The game is set to release on Steam on December 16th, check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
