Paris Games Week 2017 is currently underway. One of the biggest news to come out from the event is the new The Last of Us II trailer which is absolutely jaw dropping. Not only is it visually spectacular, showing incredibly realistic graphics, the content itself is also quite heavy emotionally.
The 5-minute trailer can be seen below, but a word of warning is necessary for the squeamish. It is not exactly Super Mario Odyssey with its sunshine and happiness, The Last of Us II is dark…really dark. It is also extremely violent and unflinching, but once you start watching it is difficult to take your eyes of it.

The video shows new characters to the series, just in case you start watching it and think to yourself “hmmm….Ellie got really buff for the sequel”. In fact, developer Naughty Dog did not want to reveal the name of the character prominently featured in the trailer yet. In a series of Tweets, they revealed the voice actors and the names of the characters in the trailer.

The young Asian man and woman in the trailer are Lev and Yara, voiced by Ian Alexander and Victoria Grace. The main antagonist in the video is voiced by Emily Swallow. The main character is voiced by Laura Bailey, who may or may not be a grown up Ellie.
