FIFA 23 PC Will Be to the Current-Gen Standard (NOT a Last-Gen Port!)

FIFA 23

Although I was once a regular customer of EAs when it came to their FIFA releases, I have to admit that in recent years my proclivity has been somewhat waning. A key factor in this is the fact that following both the release of the PS4 and PS5 (and Xbox counterparts) consoles EA stubbornly refused to bring the ‘next-gen’ version of the game to PC. Instead, we were often left with last-gen ports that clearly didn’t have all the new enhancements and bells and whistles of their new console counterparts.

With this in mind, therefore, there had been rumours for a while that the upcoming release of FIFA 23 (the last to carry the FIFA name incidentally) would, once again, be based on the PS4 version of the game rather than the PS5.

Following a report via DSOGaming, however, EA has confirmed (much to my surprise I might add) that the FIFA 23 PC port will be based on the same version as current-gen (PS5/Xbox Series X) systems! – Keep reading though as there’s still plenty of stuff to tell you about!

FIFA 23 – PC Requirements & Full Cross Play!

Starting off with some of the most interesting news, EA has confirmed that the PC version of FIFA 23 will include full crossplay support with both the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Something which, to my knowledge, has never been offered fully in a FIFA title before.

Getting back to the current-gen port though, as you might expect, the only key downside this news brings is that EA has confirmed fairly higher system requirements than seen on the previous release. That being said though, there’s still nothing overly obscene going on here suggesting that most PC FIFA fans shouldn’t have too many problems!

When Is It Out?

FIFA 23 will release for all major consoles, and PC, on September 30th. – If you would, therefore, like to learn more about it, you can check out its official website via the link here! – I’m not going to lie though, with this news, I’ve gone from being completely uninterested to actually likely now to buy the PC release.

What do you think though? – Let us know in the comments!
