Silicon Power Announces Slim and Durable Armor A75

Silicon Power Armor A75 1

Silicon Power/SP adds a new family member to their Armor series with the new Armor A75. The Armor A75 is a thin yet rugged drive, enclosed in aviation-grade aluminium for great drop resistance. The choice of material allows the drive to be thin and stylish despite the features.

“Silicon Power pays attention to every last detail in their products and the Armor A75 is no exception. The slim “L” shaped LED status light right below the SP logo is visible from most angles. With its groundbreaking design, advanced levels of protection and attention to details, the Armor A75 is ready.

Capacity options

Silicon Power releases the new Armor A75 in two different capacities. One with 1TB and one with 2TB. At a size of just 124.4 by 82 mm and with a 12.2mm thickness, a 2TB capacity is impressive. We have to remember that the enclosure has its physical size too.

Connection Options

The Armor A75 drive features a Type-C USB port and the drive comes with a Type-A cable included. The interface is USB 3.1 Gen.1 with a max speed of 5 Gbps. The drive is naturally backwards compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices.

Armor A75 Ruggedness

The A75 is shockproof up to 1.22m (MIL-STD 810G 516.7 Procedure IV transit drop test). It made with lightweight materials which makes it both temperature and impact-resistant. The stylish yet rugged ridges strengthen the drive’s structure which reduces impact and scratch damage, making it ready for any accidental blow.

The A75 isn’t waterproofed like a lot of other Silicon Power drives are. The A75 is shock and drop-resistant only.
