Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Looks Great in Unreal Engine 4

Once again we have an impressive Unreal Engine 4 project to show you, this time around released by a 3D artist named Steven Walther. Action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was developed and published by Nintendo for the GameCube and Wii home consoles in 2006, and it represents the thirteenth installment in The Legend of Zelda series. Steven went ahead and put together a re-creation of this game using Unreal Engine 4, and the results are definitely interesting, to say the least. It’s worth noting that the entire project required a month of work in order to be complete, as Walther created almost all of the assets himself.

As for the other borrowed assets, we should mention the grass from the Kite demo, as well as the base Wolf Link model, and the castle. The wolf’s fur features an interesting look thanks to the NeoFur plugin, which helps generate dynamic fur, fibers, and fuzzy surfaces. Even though some of these tech demos are created for portfolio purposes, they’re definitely nice to play around with, especially if they’re based on classic games such as Legend of Zelda. Below you will find a few images as well as a gameplay demo for the Unreal Engine 4 version of  Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
