2016’s Windows 10 Update is Codenamed ‘Redstone’

Microsoft is already planning its traditional massive service pack update for its latest operating system, Windows 10.

Despite Windows 10 being months away from full release, Neowin and ZDNet are reporting that Microsoft is planning two major updates next year, planned for June and October, under the codename Redstone (possibly a reference to Minecraft, now owned by Microsoft). Redstone is reported to add support for “new classes of devices that aren’t already part of Windows 10.”

Microsoft has, of course, refused to comment, which is understandable considering it is still preparing for the launch of windows 10 this Summer.
