Nvidia Showcase MGS V in Glorious 4K

MGS 5 system specs

The Phantom Pain is almost here, giving us another opportunity to take Snake out a new Metal Gear Solid adventure. There’s been no shortage of press about this game, some good, some bad, especially with all the Hideo Kojima farce that’s been playing out over the last few months. This will be the final Metal Gear with Hideo at the helm, so I’m very eager to play it early next month.

Of course, I’m sure many of you are just as eager to play it as myself, but how about we built up the hype even more with some eye-watering 4K video running at a silky smooth and glorious 60fps in the latest gameplay trailer courtesy of the folks at Nvidia?

Let’s be honest, you’re going to need a beefy computer to run this game at such a high-resolution and frame rate as that video, but if anything can convince you it’s time to upgrade your hardware, this is it.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set to release on consoles and PC on September 1st. It will also be bundled with some of the latest Nvidia graphics cards, so if you’re planning to upgrade, keep an eye out for the deal.
