Trinity delayed, will launch in October along Piledriver

AMD has reportedly delayed the launch of its FM2 Trinity APUs until October, not August as previously planned. The delay affects the launch of most APUs in the socket FM2 package, including the A10-5800K the flagship of the FM2 desktop APU series.

AMD will now launch the FM2 socket Trinity APUs alongside Bulldozer’s successor, the AM3+ Piledriver based FX processors. The anticipated FX-8350 and FX-6300 processors will therefore both launch alongside Trinity should AMD have no more plan changes.

AMD is also in the process of phasing out all AM3 processors from the Athlon II and Phenom II line, whilst it will replace them with FM2 Athlon II , Phenom II AM3+, and FX-Series AM3+ processors.

For those of you who are interested in the Trinity APU performance, you can check in depth production sample review of them here.
