While Antec certainly has a decent range of high-quality PC case and cooling solutions, I think it would be fair to say that most consumers largely, or at least predominantly, associate the brand with their excellent power supply designs. Put simply, when it comes to PSUs, Antec is undoubtedly one of the best manufacturers out there and has a reputation to match it!
With the recent release of the new Antec HCG Gold 1000w power supply, therefore, before we even review this, we already know that this is probably going to be excellent.
Antec HCG Gold 1000W Power Supply
The Antec HCG Gold series of power supplies are available in wattage outputs of; 650, 750, 850, and 1000. – For this review, we will specifically be looking at the top-of-the-pile 1000w design. Representing itself as a high-performance, fully modular and 80-Plus Gold efficiency rated power supply, this already looks to be ticking all of the right boxes. However, with that huge 1000 watts of power, this should also represent an excellent option for those of you with potent gaming systems. And maybe even people who enjoy dabbling in the realms of overclocking.
