Gigabyte is hard at work on their new line of X99 motherboards. Not to much is known about them yet and maybe that is why Gigabyte couldn’t resist to tease their fans on facebook and their blog. Giving a worlds first look at the beautiful new Gaming G1 X99 motherboard with a single image.

With 8 memory slots, 12 SATA ports and four full sized PCI Express slots, most users needs should be covered. The large heatsink on the chipset is finished with the eye-logo and board name, giving the board a beautiful overall look. Other parts easy to spot are the two USB 3 and two USB 2 headers as well as error-code display and tuning buttons. It also looks like it has a dual-bios.

I’m sure we will get many more information about this board and the rest of the X99 line-up very soon, as they have promised periodical sneak peek posts on their blog about this new series of motherboards.

Thank you Gigabyte for providing us with this information.

  1. Gigabyte disappointed me recently with the switch to the very monotonous monkey see, monkey do black and red theme that every mobo maker and their dog does nowadays. I miss their lime green theme and I DON’T like their new ‘eye’ logo one little bit but hey, tastes differ but I don’t doubt the quality of their products and I’m sure this will be an excellent board, pity I won’t get to play around with it.
