Sometimes small is enough, and MSI shows us how that is done. The new Z97i GAMING ACK should be available now according to the latest Facebook post and it packs all the wonderful features of it’s bigger brothers.

When dealing with a mITX motherboard, there is a natural limitation on space. To fight this, MSI has taken the rear of the PCB into use and placed the M.2 connector there. It might not be the most convenient location to switch the module, depending on your chassis, but it’s a great option to have.
The motherboard has a new an improved layout and many things were moved around including the 24-pin power connector. It also has the Killer DoubleShot Pro connectivity and anything else you could want on external connectors. There are plenty of USB ports, a PS2 port for legacy devices, Display port and HDMI, as well as 7.1 surround sound.
