NetFlix's Castlevania TV Series Cast Revealed

The TV adaptation of Castlevania is due to launch worldwide on NetFlix on July 7. For now, series producer Adi Shankar teamed up with series lead Graham McTavish to announce the rest of the cast on YouTube. Since it is an animated TV show, several talented and veteran voice actors were hired to fill the various roles. McTavish plays Dracula himself, but he will be joined by the likes of Richard Armitage, James Callis, Matt Frewer, Tony Amendola and more.

Richard Armitage, best known for his role as Thorin in the Hobbit, will voice Trevor Belmont. James Callis, best known as Gaius Baltar from the 2005 BattleStar Galactica will be playing Alucard. Veteran video game voice actor Tony Almendola will be playing the part of The Elder. His previous works include Fallout 4, World of WarCraft, Call of Duty Black Ops III, and most recently Final Fantasy XV. Character actor Matt Frewer, best known as Max Headroom will be playing The Bishop. The rest of the cast is includes Alejandra Reynoso who plays Sypha Belnades and Emily Swallow who plays Lisa Tepes.

Here is the teaser trailer from last month. It does not show much details in terms of plot, but gives viewers a preview of the series’ tone. According to Shankar, although animated, it will not hold back on the violence.
