Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870 OC Graphics Card Review
We’ve taken a look at plenty of cards from the 6800 series range of Radeon’s from AMD and whilst they have been from different manufacturers, we never really get excited unless they claim to offer something a bit extra. Otherwise we are just looking at another reference card with different branding on it.
Sometimes we may see a card that has a slight overclock when compared to a stock reference card. Other times we see a card that has a slightly tweaked cooler to give better efficiency with keeping temperatures down. On the very rare occasion we may see both together, and today our prayers were answered, as we are taking a look at a card that not only offers a pre-overclocked core and memory, but also gives a unique cooling design to assist in the extra heat that may be generated.
As with all of our graphics card reviews, even though the card is overclocked that doesn’t mean we will leave it at that. We will see how the card compares to others on the market, but will then find out if there is any more juice to be squeezed out of it as well as taking a look if the cooling is just a fancy bit of bling or whether it really does do the card any justice.
hmm i would like this card thanks for the review i was going to save for a 6950
What is the price for it because the MSI Hawk is price at £155 at the moment, plus a GTX 560Ti is £175
Around the same as the Hawk and the 560 Ti that we compared it to is £203 lol
