Even though they aren’t very popular, they aren’t obsolete, neither are they useless. CompuLab, an Isreali company, has the first commercially available desktop computer based on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 and are updating it with the Trim-Slice H.
While they did release a standard model a few months back, they’ve come up with a new one which comes in two different versions: Trim-Slice H Diskless in which the user can add the hard drive of its choice and the Trim-Slice H250 which comes with a 250GB hard drive and Linux pre-installed. These will cost you $279 and $319 respectively.
Both of these have a Tegra 2 processor running at 1GHz, 1GB of RAM, HDMI and DVI outputs, Gigabit Ethernet, built-in 802.11n Wi-fi, four USB ports, two SD slots, RS232 serial port and a USB Bluetooth adapter.
While I personally wouldn’t find any use to it, I don’t believe that at this price range you’re wasting money if you’re in need of one.
