NZXT shows off 2 new coolers the Spire Swirl and the Havik 140

Spire Swirl is a cooler that sounds more like an ice cream, but it’s kitted out with 3 heat pipes and 45 nickel coated aluminium fins in a circle that is around a 75mm stovepipe fan. Inside is a custom fan that blows air out. The spire cooler ships with a a custom fan controller that takes up a standard expansion slot at the rear of your case along with a 5 year warranty, which is pretty impressive considering it only costs $52.99 with universal support for Intel and AMD CPU’s

Havik 140 is a dual fan radiator CPU cooler similar to many on the market such as the Noctua NH-D14, similar spec to the Noctua NH-D14 with a pair of 140mm fans, 6 heat pipe design, but the NZXT seems to defeat the NH-D14 when CFM rates are compared, the NH-D14 come in at 65 whilst the Havik 140 boasts a impressive 90CFM although at a slightly nosier 25/db. The Havik 140 seems to be more of a small form factor cooler just coming in at 6.5” although weighing 2.2lb. The Havik 140 is priced at $74.99

  2. interesting design.nice to see some new companies on the block making an effort to start new trends instead of copying everybody else's proven designs 🙂

  3. NOt so sure about the case, at all from any angle (including inside), although the cooler looks nice. I agree with Lucas, it's nice to see something different, and if the SpireSwirl is as good as the Havik 140 then it will be an amazing cooler!

If you put 90CFM fans on the NH-D14 it would beat most if not all the coolers on that review and the way TT test is different ot alot of most review sitesedit: 300th spam 😉

I think it'll really look like a fully fledged snail. Ready to err… slowly* overtake the modding competition 😀

  9. UPDATE: The Spire Swirl is actually from, err… Spire! A company that provides computer cooling products, power supplies, pc case and other computing accessories. 😀
