AMD Dominates January CPU Sales
It seems that German PC users have made a clear choice for their new CPU in 2025, at least for the first month of January. The information comes from MindFactory, one of Germany’s leading retailers, which has shared its sales data on social media in the past. AMD processors have gained a significant advantage over Intel sales during this period.
Ryzen 7 9800X3D Leads
The best-selling processor was the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which alone accounted for almost 8,400 units sold. Users seem to be favoring more modern AM5 sockets, with over 70% of AMD sales using this socket. On the Intel side, most users opted for the older LGA1700 socket from the 12th, 13th, and 14th generation, which made up 6.81% of sales, followed by less than 1% for LGA1851.
While this trend is particularly noticeable in Germany, it seems to be happening in other countries as well.
