Cooler Master have just released their latest series of high performance power supplies with the new VS series. The VS series will be made available in three different wattage options of 550W, 650W and 750W. All three models have 80 Plus Gold Certification thanks to a custom DC to DC converter desigh.Cooler_Master_VS_Series_PSU_01

Internally the PSUs have a unique 3D circuit design, Japanese capacitors and a single 12 volt rail. Cooler Master claim improved hold-up times, lower cross talk and less signal noise.

All three VS series CM power supplies come with a semi modular design with the provided modular cables being the black ribbon style cables.

The OEM vendor for the new VS series of CM power supplies appears to be the same as their Silent Pro Hybrid series – Enhance technologies but speculation also suggests it could be Seasonic.

Pricing and availability has not yet been announced yet but will be competitive with the power supply series this succeeds which as far as I know is the Silent Pro Hybrid line.

  1. Maybe I’m wrong but I could’ve sworn the CM Silent Pro Hybrid was based on Seasonic. I say this because the unit I yanked apart a while back was definitely Seasonic. Maybe they used both OEM’s.

    1. Definitely Enhance AFAIK. I’ve torn a few down and both were enhance. Maybe different revisions were made with Seasonic at a later date but the majority of them should of been Enhance. It’s possible they used different OEMs for different wattages, i’m not 100% sure either.

      1. I tend to agree. The one I examined was a 550W but CM could also use different OEM’s for different regions. Seasonic designs are popular in all guises in this neck of the woods. Your guess is probably better than mine.
