Rockstar Games Developers Find GTA 6 Fan Theories Hilarious

GTA 6 is easily the most anticipated video game of all time, and the community is constantly coming up with theories to predict when a new trailer will drop—some of which are downright bizarre. So much so that even the developers at Rockstar Games occasionally read these theories for fun.

The one who revealed this was production coordinator Ash Winnley, who said that some of these theories are so outlandish that they can’t help but laugh. One particularly strange theory suggested that the release of the second trailer could be predicted by the phases of the moon in a GTA Online image. According to Ash, this happens throughout the entire studio. She shared (thanks Tech4Gamers) this insight while celebrating her two-year anniversary at Rockstar Games.

Fans Create Wild Theories About GTA 6

As you may have noticed, players have been speculating about every little detail seen in the first GTA 6 trailer. In particular, the protagonists, Jason and Lucia, have sparked strong theories, such as the idea of a third protagonist, based on the number of birds shown in one of the trailer scenes. Some even believe that the second trailer is already complete but that Rockstar is withholding its release for mysterious reasons.

Ash also mentioned that fans shouldn’t expect any leaks from the GTA 6 team, as revealing information would hurt the developers who have poured so much effort into the game. So, while the fan theories can continue to spread, don’t expect Rockstar to damage its own hard work by leaking anything.

That being said, GTA 6 has been confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, with a planned release in 2025. A PC version is also expected, though it has not yet been officially announced.
