Antec Teases New Mercury Series AIO Coolers

Antec Teases New Mercury Series AIO Coolers

Notable case manufacturer Antec put photos online of their new all-in-one liquid cooler systems called the Mercury series. Self-contained units are still a popular solution for many users now that more cases have room for radiators. Even Antec’s upcoming P110 and P8 support 360mm radiators, so having a set of AIO coolers for these cases makes sense.

Three sizes are shown in the photo: 120mm, 240mm and 360mm. The presence of a 360mm is hardly surprising, according to the manufacturers we talked to at CES.Computex. Apparently, many manufacturers offering 360mm radiators are outselling their 120mm and 240mm units. This is not just due to the fact that cases now support these radiator sizes, but it could also be because of temperatures. Larger surface area means better heat dissipation, and the new Intel i7-7700K is not exactly easy with temperatures even at stock.

The Antec Mercury series appear to be bundled with Antec’s UFO LED fans but with a metal mounting point. Only the blue color is shown. So this means it most likely is not going to be RGB, or they would have featured it otherwise. The pump has a similar blue LED that matches it, with a white body. The pump block also appears to be much taller than the latest generation Asetek units so this might be a different OEM or an older one. The hose on the other hand, is the ribbed kind that AIOs have been using for many years now.
