Palit Announces Fanless GTX 1050 Ti KalmX Video Card

Palit Announces Fanless GTX 1050 Ti KalmX Video Card

Video card manufacturer Palit’s KalmX series features a fanless, passively cooled, dual-heatpipe design ideal for very efficient, low-heat producing GPUs. The latest in their stable is the GTX 1050 Ti KalmX, representing a significant GPU upgrade from their previous GTX 750 Ti KalmX offering while still maintaining that fanless, 0dB quiet performance.

Palit Announces Fanless GTX 1050 Ti KalmX Video Card
The heatsink design is similar to previous generation KalmX offerings having a dual-slot design and having a much shorter PCB than most video cards. The PCB itself measures only 182 x 142mm. At the heart of the GTX 1050 Ti is the NVIDIA Pascal GP107-400 GPU with 4GB of GDDR5 memory on a 128-bit bus. Palit kept the reference specifications of 1290MHz for the base clock with a boost clock of 1392MHz and the memory running at 3500MHz to keep things thermally in check without an active fan cooling on top directly.

Of course, nothing is truly 0DB even without the fan as there is always electrical noise when current flows through the chokes, but the option of having a fanless design relying only on ambient air is always a good option to have, especially for those looking for a gaming HTPC solution. Plus, the GTX 1050 Ti KalmX offers significantly more in terms of performance over the GTX 750 Ti and GTX 950 graphics cards. It even outperforms the GTX 960 handily in many tests.
