Thermaltake are the latest power supply vendor to jump onboard the digital power supply wagon. We have already seen digital power supplies from Corsair with their AX1200i and AX760i but now Thermaltake join that elusive and prestigious club. Their new Toughpower DPS (Digital Power Supplies) series will contain the DPS 850W and DPS 750W models with digital power controls and software to help tune them. Monitoring and user-control is provided by the Thermaltake DPS App .
The monitoring of the app is one of the unique features of the Toughpower DPS series and it allows you to monitor voltages, temperatures, amps and kw/h of energy usage.
From that you can measure your energy usage, cost and even share those things via social networks.

The question is are they made by Seasonic, if not then no thanks! Also black and red is ok but why the gold, most people have down facing PSUs these days anyway so they cant see it but the colour really doesn’t go with the rest of the design…
I have an upward facing PSU (aka fan grille and fan facing into the case), always have done and always will do. Looks better IMO.
Seems like an odd thing to do, it means it intakes hot air from the case meaning it will be hotter and therefore run less efficiently and louder. I personally would never sacrifice performance for looks.
I would. Most PSUs are so efficient it wouldn’t make any difference most of the time. If your case is well ventilated it won’t make much difference either.
I guess you are right but you still have the risk of dropping something inside it if you having it facing up. Would be a bit careless but accidents happen.
Probably not, I wouldn’t use this PSU myself. I prefer the understated clean look so I currently use a Corsair AX760i. Would also quite happily use any of the CM Silent Pro Hybrids and other fully modular PSUs with full black cables and plain looking exteriors. Seasonic ones are good too.
Yeah I would probably choose one of the Corsair ones as well or maybe one of the full modular XFX ones.
