Futuremark VRMark Cyan Room Now Available for Download

Futuremark‘s latest virtual reality benchmark VRMark Cyan Room is finally available for download. It utilizes a pure DirectX12 engine built in-house, testing for VR capability. In usual Futuremark style, the graphics is also quite gorgeous, although it is also highly functional as well. Since the custom DX12 engine has less overhead, developers and testers can get the optimal performance result out of even modest VR capable PC systems.

VRMark’s Orange Room tests systems against the recommended hardware requirements for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. On the other hand, the new Blue Room is much more demanding. The benchmark can run massive 5K rendering resolution and uses plenty of spectacular volumetric lighting effects. After each run, the benchmark reveals whether the PC meets the target frame rate. It also includes cross system comparison and hardware monitoring statistics.
