The layoffs affect staff in Ubisoft’s San Francisco location and Red Storm Entertainment in Cary, North Carolina. A spokesperson from Ubisoft confirmed the layoffs, stating, “Yesterday Ubisoft San Francisco and Red Storm Entertainment informed their teams of a restructuring that resulted in 45 employees leaving Ubisoft.” The company explained that the move was essential to align the studios with future business and development goals.
