Monster Hunter: World Trailer Looks as Beautiful as we Hoped

Monster Hunter: World is going to be awesome!

Monster Hunter: World is shaping up to be a pretty awesome game. If the concept of the game wasn’t enough to have you dribbling, then the fact that we are going to see a brand new version to all consoles (not just Nintendo this time) as well as PC is fantastic.

When we initially spoke of the potential of a PC release, we were, at the time, shot down quite harshly by some as attempting to write some click-bait material. In fairness though, we regularly are when they are of a speculative nature.

On the subject, we all collectively have our fingers crossed at eTeknix for the Kingdom Hearts 3 PC port.

Therefore when we, just weeks later, were able to confirm the PC release of Monster Hunter: World we were delighted. Particularly since it proved that our speculative ramblings were occasionally spot on. Also, however, because a PC version made total sense.

What do we see in the trailer?

Some pretty beautiful scenery. It would appear that they are hard at work to ensure Monster Hunter: World is going to be as awesome as we want it to be.

Some beautiful scenery, incredible boss fight and not too much tinkering with a winning formula. Perfect!

One aspect they appear to have changed which could be controversial was the weapon system implemented in previous games. While I will not go into detail, lets just say it was a complicated affair. That being said, many lovers of the JRPG style of gaming is the complex levels of tactics.

The removal of this mechanic, therefore, is probably a sensible move for a full-blown western audience, but one that may put off a lot of the hardcore.

Monster Hunter: World is set for release on PS4, Xbox and PC in early 2018.  If it ends up being half as good as the trailer looks, then 2018 is set to be amazing.
