There has been quite a lot of hype surrounding AMD’s HD 7770, some of you may of heard of AMD’s marketing gimmick to reviewers by including ‘Vedertrol’ pills which apparently “acts as a performance enhancement” and this marketing stunt linked to the fact the HD 7770 would have a core clock of 1000MHz which indeed it has. Anyway, the card has been put through some testing by the people over at VR-Zone with a 2500K at stock clocks and it gave the following result:
With a graphics score of 3147 this does reasonably well for an entry level card, its performance slots in somewhere between AMD’s HD 6850 and HD 6870. Hopefully AMD will price it accordingly so it is competitive against similar performing older cards. We also expect this card to have very low power consumption, some are touting for it to have a single 6-pin others for it to have no external power inputs and to be totally bus powered. Nothing yet is known until the launch which we can assure you is very close!
