So following on from the username character issue we saw earlier today, it seems that another issue has reared its head. This time in the form of login errors (being the main issue).

So the main error code being presented is “ERR_GEN_ZLIB_1/2/3” and is known to affect everyone, but it only seems those that are using Rockstar Launcher are experiencing the most issues.

There are hundreds of other errors too, of which, I’ve highlighted all the errors that require you to REINSTALL the entire game. Here is a list of the error codes:

[ERR_NO_STEAM] – Could not detect the Steam client. Please reboot Steam and Grand Theft Auto V.
[ERR_NO_LAUNCHER] – Please run Grand Theft Auto V using PlayGTAV.exe.
[ERR_NET_WINSOCK_4] – WinSock receive error. Please reboot and restart the game. Return Code:

OK most of those errors will probably never affect most of us, if they do; they’re probably a very easy reboot fix. I personally have been looking for fixes and so far none have worked, some claim to work, but are spam with stupid browser add-ons. I personally advise biting the bullet and re-installing the entire game, or waiting for an official response from Rockstar.

I used the Rockstar Warehouse after buying it from GreenManGaming. I pre-downloaded the game.
I launch the game, it logs me in to Social Club and then insta crashed saying “Grand Theft Auto V exited unexpectedly” So far there has been no fix for this with hundreds of people complaining and it’s the most Up Voted wanted fix on their support page!

Flawless play for 6 hrs. I bet all these problems are issues stemming from peoples system. Something in them would have to cause all these problems.

Installed via Steam, pre loaded. only err is the d3d init, only happened once. but my friends have been getting it alot. seems Nvidia related.

I’m getting the [ERR_GFX_D3D_NOD3D1X_4], baring in mind I have a GTX 980, intel i7 4790k…..taking the piss. Tried everything to sort it and still nothing,

I get random crashes when I press LB on my gamepad, major pop-in issues(despite running on high – very high(i don’t know, I let NVIDIA choose for me) graphics on my 4gb 680) and some online servers are pretty laggy(i assume they use peer-to-peer which is pretty unneccesary for PC)

Also ERR_MEM_EMBEDDEDALLOC_GUARD_4 required either large update replacement or reinstallation. I had electricity shutdown while playing few times with no power backup, so i scanned for HD errors and fixed them, but GTA5 also started throwing above error in totally random with different numbers on end. Then i replaced one more vehicle and it got much worse. I thought it was modding replacements cause. Then i updated about last 3 updates i ignored replacing about 20GB and it FIXED it totally. With all mods…weathers, vehicles, behavior changes, and added scripts i have no more memory errors.

So after all if you do get above described error, it’s worth to try reinstalling, just in case you have broken files somewhere.
