ZOWIE EC1 Gaming Mouse Review

We recently took a look at the ZOWIE MiCO Gaming Mouse review, and today it is the turn of one of its bigger brothers, the ZOWIE EC1 Gaming Mouse. This mouse was released in both White and Black and we are lucky enough to have the stunning White version.

ZOWIE pride themselves on being a company focused on bringing you the best gaming peripherals out there, while doing everything they can to make sure the design and looks are not compromised. While ZOWIE’s product range may be fairly limited, covering, mice, headsets, keyboards and mousepads, each product has been designed with a lot of input from expert and professional gamers making sure each one is up to a very high standard. We certainly hope this is the case with the ZOWIE EC1.

This mouse, at a glance, certainly seems to pack the features in, with the choice of 3 DPI settings, 5 buttons and a fast polling rate. It was also developed by HeatoN which leads us to expect very good things from this mouse.

  1. Nice review, although as you stated, I'd rather have a home use for it than actual gaming, as for the design specifically, it isn't my favorite, although it's a personal opinion. :)

  2. Yeh, its a good everyday mouse that will also perform quite well when gaming. It certainly doesn't do badly at gaming its just not quite in the Razer/Roccat/Steelseries league of gaming (and loads others)! I don't think the pictures show it off to the best, it looks nice on my desk for sure – but then again I am a fan of Apple products… lol

  3. This mouse looks immaculate… if ever I had any chance to touch it, I think I have greatly take care prior to handling it. Gives a great pure aura even by the pictures.

  4. DPI didn't ever have an impact on gaming and precision in FPS, 400 is enough. If you look at the competitive scene of my favourite game, almost everyone runs his mouse on the lowest available DPI setting (450 for many Razer products). This is true due to a number of reasons that you should research on your own :)Quality in gaming mice is heavily fluctuating, those brands you mentioned made lots of mistakes too, sometimes it's office mice that are more popular even (MS Wheel Mouse Optical, Intelli)
